Fallout Returns With a New Vegas Twist
Amazon Prime Video has dropped the first set of images for Fallout Season 2, ahead of its December 2025 premiere. The biggest reveal? The location of New Vegas, one of the most iconic locations from the Fallout video game franchise.
Set 15 years after the events of New Vegas (2010), this new season reimagines the neon-lit wasteland city in a fresh light. The stills show Cooper Howard (Walton Goggins) not in his familiar ghoul form, but as a human — driving down the Vegas Strip and interacting with his wife Barb (Frances Turner).

Iconic Locations and Returning Characters
The teaser highlights both the exterior and interior of the Lucky 38 casino and resort, famously home to the enigmatic Mr. House in the game. Whether he remains a key figure in this adaptation remains a mystery, but we do know that he is lurking somewhere.
Fans also get glimpses of returning characters Lucy MacLean, the Ghoul, and Maximus with the Brotherhood of Steel. Lucy’s brother Norm appears to hold more power within Vault 33, while antagonist Hank MacLean ominously sports a Pip-Boy, hinting at bigger threats to come.
What to Expect From Season 2

Showrunners Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet have confirmed that Season 2 is set in a timeline separate from the games, taking place well after New Vegas. This narrative freedom will give them room to reinterpret familiar locations and create original stories within the beloved post-apocalyptic universe.
With New Vegas serving as the stage, and a mix of new and returning faces, Fallout Season 2 promises both nostalgia and surprises. The wait is nearly over — the new season lands on Amazon Prime Video in December 2025.
