LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Supposedly Contains Biggest Gotham Yet

Additional movement abilities mean that the Dark Knight has more freedom in which to explore, and according to sources, the new Gotham will be larger than Rocksteady’s Arkham Knight, a title once praised for its sprawling, atmospheric city.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight also promises a more refined combat system, aiming to strike a balance between the accessibility of LEGO games and the depth of modern action-adventure titles.

Four Distinct Islands

LEGO Game News claim that Gotham will be divided into four unique islands, with South Island confirmed to be the largest. This structure immediately positions the game as the biggest open-world LEGO project to date, dwarfing the environments from earlier LEGO Batman instalments. With its larger scale, the challenge for TT Games will be to ensure that Gotham feels alive, not just big.

Can LEGO Gotham Rival Arkham Knight?

While fans may be excited at the prospect of exploring a Gotham even bigger than Arkham Knight’s, questions remain about density and content.
