Early Access Starts October on PC and Game Pass
Hooded Horse and developer Super Fantasy Games have confirmed that Super Fantasy Kingdom, their upcoming blend of roguelite survival and city-building, will launch in Early Access on October 24.
The game will be available on Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store, and will also arrive day one on PC Game Pass via Game Preview.
A Game of Two Halves
Players choose between leading the Undead or Human Kingdoms, each starting in ruins with only a single hero to hold the line. Gameplay is split into two distinct phases:
- Daytime: rebuild the realm using streamlined city-building mechanics, balancing growth, resources, and strategic planning.
- Night-time: defend the kingdom against waves of increasingly powerful enemies, using the hero and any allies recruited along the way.

Heroes don’t need to fight alone — warriors can be recruited through random events or by exploring the wider world. Building roads connects the stronghold to new areas, unlocking resources, units, and progression systems that expand both the city and its defences.
Roguelite Progression
Failure doesn’t mean the end. If the kingdom falls, the monarch awakens to begin again, armed with rewards, discoveries, and permanent unlocks carried over from previous runs. This roguelite loop allows players to push further into the game’s mysteries, face stronger enemies, and steadily unravel the secrets at its core.
To ensure broad accessibility, Super Fantasy Kingdom will launch with localisation in 16 languages, including German, French, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and both Simplified and Traditional Chinese.
Super Fantasy Kingdom will launch in Early Access on October 24 across Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store, with full availability on PC Game Pass day one.
