Dynasty Warriors 3 Complete Edition Remastered Set for March 2026
A Return to the Battlefield
Koei Tecmo and developer Omega Force have announced Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered, a revival of the classic action title in the long-running franchise that was teased previously. The remaster is scheduled to release on March 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, as revealed at the State of Play presentation.
This edition includes both the original Dynasty Warriors 3 and the Dynasty Warriors 3: Xtreme Legends expansion, letting players relive the entries that shaped the series. The game was the first to introduce mechanics that became staples, such as True Musou Attacks, two-player simultaneous play, and the officer development system.
Xtreme Legends added new scenarios for officers, including Lu Bu, Meng Huo, and Yuan Shao, along with bodyguard customisation, new weapons, and four challenge modes.
Remastered With Unreal Engine 5
The updated release uses Unreal Engine 5 to deliver enhanced visuals, from large-scale battlefields to refined character models. Players can expect the signature 1 vs. 1,000 action the series is known for, brought up to modern standards while preserving the original’s intensity.
The game also features a roster of over 40 playable officers, offering fans a wide range of strategies and playstyles to explore. How it will compare to the modern offering of Dynasty Warriors: Origins remains to be seen, but at the very least, it should give fans hoping for a more traditional experience something to look forward to.
