Battlefield 6 Campaign Trailer Debuts at PlayStation State of Play

Battlefield 6 campaign trailer reveals modern war story against private army Pax Armata, releasing October 2025.

First Look at the Battlefield 6 Campaign

Debut at Sony’s State of Play

Electronic Arts and Battlefield Studios have given fans their first real glimpse of the Battlefield 6 campaign, showcased during Sony’s State of Play. The trailer highlights a cinematic story mode set in 2027, expanding the series’ focus back to single-player after the absence of a campaign in Battlefield 2042.

The footage introduces a fractured world order as NATO faces collapse amid proxy wars and economic turmoil. Into this vacuum steps Pax Armata, a powerful private military organisation that threatens to destabilise global security.

Playing as Dagger 13

Players will step into the boots of Dagger 13, a US Marine special operations unit deployed to fight Pax Armata across multiple global flashpoints. Locations teased in the trailer include the streets of Brooklyn and the sprawling urban sprawl of Cairo.

The campaign in Battlefield 6 promises blockbuster-scale action, from high-intensity firefights to large set-piece battles, with a tone that feels closer to a Hollywood war thriller than a traditional military shooter. Early glimpses suggest a blend of the franchise’s trademark scale with a renewed focus on storytelling and cinematic presentation.

Development and Direction

Motive and Criterion Games are leading the campaign’s development under the Battlefield Studios banner. Their goal is to modernise the series’ storytelling while maintaining the tactical combat and large-scale chaos fans expect.

Battlefield 6 is set to launch on October 10 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. This marks the franchise’s first mainline entry since 2021 and its return to a full single-player experience.
