Wolf Haus Games Reveals Join Us, a Doomsday Cult Survival Game

Debut at PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct

Independent Montreal-based studio Wolf Haus Games has unveiled its debut project, Join Us, a satirical survival game where players build and command their own doomsday cult. The announcement was made during the PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct, accompanied by a reveal trailer showcasing the game’s dark humour and grindhouse-inspired aesthetic.

Launching later this year on PC, Join Us blends story-driven survival with base-building and cult management, allowing players to shape belief systems, recruit followers, and expand their influence in a rural American setting.

Building Your Cult

Players take on the role of a devout cult member sent to establish a new chapter in Bedford County, USA. Acting under the guidance of “The Leader,” players are free to customise their cult’s ideology, expand their compound, and defend it against hostile locals. Flamethrowers, propaganda, and even battle-pigs feature as part of the unusual arsenal for protecting and growing the community.

Survival requires careful resource management. Food, supplies, and ammunition are essential, but followers remain the most valuable asset. Recruiting through persuasion — or intimidation — will be vital for expanding territory and securing dominance.

Satire Meets Survival

Join Us stands out with its satirical tone, poking fun at corporate culture by likening cult expansion to franchising. “Think of it like you’re franchising a Burger King, or a KFC,” the studio quipped in the reveal. This blend of survival gameplay and social commentary reflects the team’s background in grindhouse cinema, feature films, and AAA game development.

The game offers a fully authored narrative campaign that adapts to player choices, playable solo or in four-player co-op. The open-world setting is designed to evolve as players expand their influence, giving them freedom to explore, recruit, and impose their ideology on the county.

Release Window

Join Us is set to launch in 2025 on PC. Wolf Haus Games promises more details in the months ahead, as the world prepares to experience survival strategy through the lens of cult life and apocalyptic satire.
