Silent Hill 1 Remake Officially in Development at Bloober Team

From Silent Hill 2 to the Origins of the Series

Following the critical and commercial success of Silent Hill 2 Remake, Bloober Team is now taking fans back to where it all began. The studio has confirmed that development on a Silent Hill 1 Remake is officially underway, in collaboration with Konami.

Early Development Phase

The remake’s existence was first teased in June 2025, but during a recent Q&A with investors, Bloober confirmed that full development has now begun, led by their internal team. No details on production progress or features have been shared yet, leaving fans in suspense as work begins on the project.

More on Bloober’s Current Projects

This latest remake isn’t the only title on Bloober’s slate. A second unannounced project is also in development by another core team, though no details have been revealed.

Meanwhile, Bloober’s original survival horror IP Cronos: The New Dawn has already shown strong potential, selling over 200,000 copies in its first week, with PlayStation leading the sales charts. While no sequel has been announced, the studio acknowledged its promise as a new franchise.

As of now, neither Konami nor Bloober has provided a timeline for the new release. Fans eager to revisit the fog-shrouded streets of the cursed town will need to wait for further updates.
