SEDAP! A Culinary Adventure Confirms Console Release Date
The Singapore-made co-op cooking game SEDAP! A Culinary Adventure is officially coming to consoles. Developer kopiforge has confirmed that the title will launch digitally for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch on October 22.
A day later, on October 23, an exclusive Nintendo Switch Asia Edition will also be released in select Asian markets, giving fans even more reasons to celebrate.
A New Serving After a Rough Start
SEDAP! first launched on PC in May 2025. While the initial release drew criticism for its steep difficulty curve — resulting in mixed Steam reviews — kopiforge has continued patching the game, listening to community feedback, and working on console ports.
“We know our release was rough,” admitted project director Jay. “But we’ve learned from player feedback, and before the year ends, we’ll release a major balancing and quality-of-life update across all platforms. We hope players will give SEDAP! another chance.”
Special Nintendo Switch Asia Edition
The Switch Asia Edition brings exclusive content and physical extras. Published by Japanese label IndieTech Games, the edition will include:
- Four bonus levels featuring signature dishes from Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
- A physical release priced at 3,980 yen, with a recipe booklet of 10 in-game dishes, soundtrack download code, and a special sleeve.

Distribution will cover Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, and Taiwan digitally and physically, while Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines will receive physical versions via Maxsoft.
What Players Can Expect on Consoles
The console editions of SEDAP! will deliver the same chaotic culinary fun with features tailored for living-room play. Players can look forward to:
- 42 levels across three unique biomes.
- Over 50 Southeast Asian dishes to prepare.
- Fixed and dynamic split-screen options for couch co-op.
- Single-player and local multiplayer modes at launch, with online multiplayer planned for a future update.
The game supports 19 languages, ranging from English and Japanese to Malay, Tagalog, and Vietnamese, highlighting its Southeast Asian roots while broadening global accessibility.
Recognition and Community Roots

Despite its rocky launch, SEDAP! has already earned industry recognition. The title has won or been nominated in multiple award categories, including Best Student Game at LEVEL UP KL SEA Game Awards 2023 and Best New Game at BIG Festival @ gamescom latam.
What began as a student project has grown into a full-fledged indie release. “We wanted to share Southeast Asia’s vibrant cuisines and cultures through gameplay,” said kopiforge. “For us, sedap means ‘delicious’ — and we hope players around the world will taste a little of that joy and chaos when they play.”
SEDAP! A Culinary Adventure will launch on October 22 for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. The Nintendo Switch Asia Edition will be available on October 23, with physical and digital extras for fans across Asia.
