China’s Next Big AAA Epic: Longevity Yin and Yang Unveiled by 11 Games
China’s rise as a creative powerhouse in global gaming continues to accelerate, and its developers are no longer chasing trends; instead, they’re setting them. The latest proof of that evolution is Longevity Yin and Yang, an ambitious new AAA action-adventure from emerging studio 11 Games, blending myth, history, and martial artistry in breathtaking detail.
A Ming Dynasty Tale of Immortality
Set during the Ming Dynasty, Longevity Yin and Yang follows a Jinyiwei/锦衣卫, one of the Emperor’s elite secret agents, on a dangerous mission to uncover the mystery of eternal life. What begins as a quest for knowledge soon descends into a deadly clash against pirates, assassins, and supernatural beings guarding the emperor’s forbidden secret.
The game’s narrative draws inspiration from historical accounts of Emperor Jiajing, infamous for his real-life obsession with alchemy and the pursuit of immortality. While Longevity Yin and Yang weaves in fantastical elements, its world remains grounded in the intrigue, opulence, and danger of Ming-era China.

Precision Combat and Elemental Power
Built on Unreal Engine 5, Longevity Yin and Yang aims to deliver combat that rewards timing and precision. Every dodge, parry, and counter builds up Void, an energy resource that can be transformed into Substance, unleashing devastating special attacks that turn the tide of battle.
According to the developers, players can expect 40–50 hours of gameplay, balancing fast-paced action sequences with exploration, cinematic storytelling, and rich lore inspired by Chinese mythology and court politics.
Positioning Itself Among China’s Finest
Though no release window or platforms have yet been announced, Longevity Yin and Yang already positions itself alongside other high-profile Chinese AAA projects like Black Myth: Wukong and Where Winds Meet. Its detailed visuals, philosophical undertones, and blend of myth and realism signal a growing confidence among Chinese studios to tell their own stories and not imitate Western ones.
If the footage shown so far is any indication, Longevity Yin and Yang could be the next landmark title to redefine what global audiences expect from China’s new wave of AAA game development.
