Warhammer Survivors Announced A Bullet Hell Fusion of Boltgun and Vampire Survivors

Warhammer’s Next Evolution: Endless Enemies, Iconic Heroes

Auroch Digital has announced Warhammer Survivors, a standalone roguelite survivors game launching in 2026. Developed and published by Auroch Digital, best known for Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun (which is getting a sequel), in partnership with poncle and Games Workshop, the game merges pixel-driven chaos with the grimdark lore of both Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer: Age of Sigmar.

Described as “part of the official Survivors lineage,” Warhammer Survivors retains the genre’s signature onslaughts of enemies while reimagining them through the lens of Warhammer’s brutal universes. Players can choose heroes from both franchises, wield iconic weapons, and experiment with power-ups that combine into devastating, screen-clearing attacks.

From Boltgun to Bullet Hell

The game will feature fan-favourite characters across the 41st Millennium and the Mortal Realms. Warhammer 40,000’s Malum Caedo, the titular hero of Boltgun, takes the fight to the Tyranid swarms alongside Cadian Shock Trooper Kozlowski and Brother Luca, a Space Marine Intercessor.

Meanwhile, on the Age of Sigmar front, Neave Blacktalon leads the charge against the Skaven, joined by legendary monster-slayer Gotrek Gurnisson and Sharynn Azurwrath, a Stormcast Eternal Vanquisher armed with a Celestial Greatsword.

Each run in Warhammer Survivors encourages players to discover new strategies, unlock upgrades, and uncover hidden secrets scattered across the grimdark landscapes.

A Partnership Forged in Chaos

The collaboration between Auroch Digital and poncle marks a major crossover between two corners of the indie development world. While poncle defined the survivors genre with Vampire Survivors, Auroch brings over a decade of Warhammer experience, ensuring the universe’s tone, lore, and weaponry are authentically realised in an entirely new art style.
