Introduced publicly during THQ Nordic’s 2025 Showcase, the game now returns with an uncut eight-minute video that highlights its tone and systems in greater detail.

Developed by a small team of 12, Paraglacial aims to deliver a handcrafted world shaped by ancient ruins, unpredictable threats, and layered melee and magic combat. The new showcase reflects that ambition with a closer look at both atmosphere and moment-to-moment action.

Savage Combat and Early Story Threads

The showcase places viewers deep within crumbling mountain ruins as the unnamed Druid protagonist engages in a series of intense encounters. The focus is firmly on reactive, weighty melee combat, with weapons ranging from axes to blades and improvised tools. Enemy patterns and timing play an important role, creating encounters that reward precision and preparation.

Hints of the wider story are also present. The ruins, their abandoned fortresses, and the creatures lurking within them suggest a world shaped by forgotten wars and lingering corruption. The Fatekeeper showcase teases only fragments, positioning narrative discovery as something tied closely to exploration.
