In a new interview with French YouTuber Julien Chieze, conducted alongside members of the Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 team, project director Naoki Hamaguchi confirmed that Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3 has completed the bulk of its core gameplay systems.
The team is now shifting into the polishing and refinement stage, which typically marks the final stretch of development. It has been nearly two years since Final Fantasy VII Rebirth arrived in February 2024, and this update offers the clearest progress report to date on the trilogy’s conclusion.
