Aquapark Tycoon Moves Toward Launch After Eventful 2025
Indie studio Boxelware has spent 2025 steadily building the foundations of Aquapark Tycoon, its upcoming simulation game centred on designing and managing large-scale water parks.
As the year comes to a close, the team has shared a clearer picture of how development has progressed and what players can expect ahead of the planned 2026 release.
The studio describes the past year as a turning point, marked by its first public demo, strong community engagement, and a positive reception at major industry events.
First Public Demo Shapes Development Direction
Aquapark Tycoon became playable for the first time in May 2025 with the release of a Steam demo. Players could experiment with core systems such as slide construction, sauna planning, and early management mechanics, providing Boxelware with its first significant feedback loop.
According to the studio, community input has played a significant role in shaping ongoing development. Many of the features currently in development originated directly from player requests, reinforcing Boxelware’s commitment to developing Aquapark Tycoon in close collaboration with its audience.
Gamescom 2025 Introduced New Features and Perspectives
Boxelware also showcased the game at Gamescom 2025 in Cologne, where attendees were shown several features planned for launch. These included a first-person slide perspective, expanded building tools for more precise placement, and additional attractions and themed park areas.
The event response was overwhelmingly positive, with players strongly appreciating the game’s blend of creative building, management depth, and lighthearted summer atmosphere.
New Systems and Attractions Planned for 2026
Looking ahead, Boxelware has outlined a broad range of features currently in development for Aquapark Tycoon’s launch window. These include the ability to experience custom slides from a first-person viewpoint, the addition of a Lazy River attraction, and a revamped sauna infusion planner that allows more personalised wellness management.
Additional tools are being introduced to support creativity and efficiency, including blueprint saving and sharing, freely rotatable and movable objects, and colour presets that apply cohesive themes across park structures. On the management side, expanded systems for maintenance, hygiene, decay, and water quality are being added to deepen the tycoon layer.
The studio is also working on performance improvements, scalable interface elements, and a range of quality-of-life updates aimed at smoothing the overall experience.
Multiplayer and Long-Term Support in Development
Beyond launch content, Boxelware has confirmed that a cooperative multiplayer mode is in active development, allowing multiple players to design and manage a water park together. Additional scenarios, new biomes, expanded seasonal systems including indoor areas, and more attractions are also planned.

An updated demo featuring additional systems and refinements is expected ahead of release, giving players another opportunity to try the game before launch.
Studio founder Konstantin Kronfeldner credited the game’s growing community as a major driving force behind development, emphasising that player feedback has been central to shaping Aquapark Tycoon’s direction.
Aquapark Tycoon is currently scheduled to launch on PC in 2026.
