Realm of Ink Locks In Multiplatform Release
Publisher 4Divinity and developer Leap Studio have confirmed that Realm of Ink will launch on May 26 across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch, alongside its full 1.0 release on PC.
The fast-paced action roguelite has been available in Steam Early Access, where it currently holds a Very Positive rating. The upcoming launch marks the game’s transition out of Early Access and its debut on consoles in a unified global release.
From Early Access to Full 1.0
Since entering Early Access, Realm of Ink has evolved through consistent updates, balance refinements, and seasonal content drops. Leap Studio has actively incorporated community feedback to fine-tune combat flow, progression systems, and overall difficulty balance.
All improvements made during Early Access will carry over into the console versions and the PC 1.0 build, positioning the May launch as the definitive edition of the game. To celebrate the release date announcement, the studio also unveiled a new trailer showcasing previously unseen gameplay footage and cinematics from its ink-painted world.
A Stylish Roguelite Rooted in Chinese Folklore
Realm of Ink blends Chinese-inspired ink art with modern 2.5D presentation and fast, combo-driven combat. Players step into the role of Red, a swordswoman trapped within a world literally painted in ink.
As she hunts the mysterious Fox Demon, Red uncovers a larger truth about her existence being part of a scripted narrative. The roguelite structure reinforces this theme, with each death serving as rebirth and progression, unlocking new combat forms, Story Relics, and supernatural abilities. The game features nine combat forms, over 40 elemental Ink Gems, more than 200 unlockable perks, evolving Ink Pets, and four major bosses guarding the path forward.
Leap Studio also confirmed a crossover collaboration with 91Act. Oread, the Stage 4 boss from BlazBlue Entropy Effect, will join Realm of Ink as a fully playable character. Oread arrives with a unique Ink Gem, exclusive Ink Pet skins, and new perks designed to support her distinct combat style, offering additional build diversity at launch.
Demo Available Ahead of Launch

Players on PC and Xbox can already try Realm of Ink through free demos available on Steam and the Xbox Store. Wishlist options are live across major storefronts ahead of the May 26 release.
With its unified multiplatform rollout and expanded 1.0 content, Realm of Ink is set to reach a much wider audience when it arrives on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch this spring.
