Outbound Delays Global Release to May 14, 2026

Silver Lining Interactive and Square Glade Games have delayed the global release of Outbound from April 23 to May 14. The studio says the decision was driven by a late-identified issue that could negatively affect the player experience, and that there was not enough time to guarantee a stable release across all platforms by the original date.

Rather than ship uneven versions, the team is taking additional time for final tuning and polish to keep Outbound‘s promise of cosy enjoyment consistent regardless of where players pick it up.

Developers Say Delay Is About Quality, Not Content

In a statement included with the announcement, the team described the Outbound delay as a hard call made late in the process, framing it as a stability and release-readiness issue rather than a change in scope. The message leans on a familiar but reasonable principle for cross-platform launches: if one platform is not ready, the entire launch becomes a risk.

The team also stressed it had worked to stay on schedule but chose the delay to ensure a more polished, bug-free experience at launch.
