EA Sports FC 26 The World’s Game Update Kicks Off With International Football Across Modes
EA Sports FC 26 has launched The World’s Game Update, bringing a new wave of international football content to console, PC, and EA Sports FC Mobile at no additional cost.
The update arrives as the summer of international football begins, adding 53 fully licensed national teams to EA Sports FC 26. Of those, 41 are qualified nations, with England, Germany, Mexico, Canada, USA, Uruguay, the Republic of Korea, Saudi Arabia, Australia, and more included.
EA has also confirmed new licensing partnerships for Brazil, Turkey, Spain, and Portugal. That means players can represent those nations with official kits, crests, and player likenesses, giving the update a stronger push toward authenticity across its international modes.
A New 48 Team Tournament Mode Leads The Update
The headline addition to EA Sports FC 26 with the update is a standalone 48-team tournament mode built around the journey from the Group Stage through to the Knockout Rounds and the final. Players can take control of a nation and build their own international football story, whether that means guiding a favourite team to expected glory or creating a surprise run with a less obvious contender.
Kick Off also expands the update’s flexibility, allowing one-off international matchups across 60 nations. That gives players a quicker way to create custom fixtures without committing to the full tournament structure.
The World’s Game Edition Adds Ultimate Team Bonuses
For players who have not yet picked up EA Sports FC 26, EA has also introduced EA Sports FC 26: The World’s Game Edition on console and PC as an option.
The edition includes 3,000 Season Points for the FC Season Pass, one Gold Starting XI Pack, and three untradeable Player Picks from selected Football Ultimate Team campaigns. The Gold Starting XI Pack contains a full team of untradeable players rated 84 OVR or higher, with at least one guaranteed 86-plus rated player.
The Player Picks include an Elite Campaign Player Pick, an ICONs or Heroes Player Pick, and an International Team of the Season Player Pick.
Ultimate Team And Career Get Festival Of Football Content
The World’s Game Update also extends into EA Sports FC 26 Football Ultimate Team through the Festival of Football event. Players who log in during the event will receive a 93 OVR Festival of Football ICON Pelé, along with three Choose Your Journey Evolutions inspired by his 1970 international achievements.
Ultimate Team also introduces Journey of Nations, an Event Hub that takes players across all five continents with weekly campaigns and rewards inspired by historic nations, iconic players, and emerging stars. New Tokens tied to events and campaigns will also give players more choice in how they earn and redeem themed rewards.
Career players are getting international content, too. Manager Career adds the International Men’s Tournament, following the same structure and rules as The World’s Game mode. Player Career will receive Festival of Football themed ICONs and Heroes, new Manager Live Challenges, and Season Objectives tied to national teams.

EA SPORTS FC Mobile Adds Tournament Mode And Quick Match
EA Sports FC Mobile is also part of the update, with a new Tournament Mode built around international football. The World’s Game Tournament in EA Sports FC Mobile includes more than 50 national teams, with matchday-ready kits, team history, star ratings, flag-themed Player Items, ICONs, and Heroes.
Quick Match is also being added to EA SPORTS FC Mobile, allowing players to create a dedicated game room and share a code to set up faster with friends or new challengers. Players can use their personal squad, clubs, or national teams across Head to Head and VS Attack modes.
The World’s Game Update is now live in EA Sports FC 26 and EA Sports FC Mobile, giving EA’s football platform a broader international focus across tournament play, Ultimate Team, Career, and mobile competition.
