Football Manager 27 Interface Gets Its First Major Feature Breakdown

Sports Interactive has started pulling back the curtain on Football Manager 27, with its first gameplay deep dive focusing on one of the most important parts of the management sim: getting around all that information.

Ahead of its planned November launch, the studio has detailed improvements to navigation, full-screen presentation, interface scaling and customisation, with many of the changes shaped directly by community feedback.

The broader goal is to make Football Manager 27 quicker and more intuitive to navigate without throwing away the familiar behaviours longtime players already rely on.

Football Manager 27 Wants to Reduce Unnecessary Clicks

One of the clearest priorities is cutting down the number of steps needed to reach commonly used information. Sports Interactive says the updated interface evolves the existing visual language rather than replacing it outright, restoring familiar behaviours where appropriate while streamlining navigation elsewhere.

That includes changes to sub-navigation, messaging, shortcuts and bookmarks, giving managers more direct ways to reach the screens and information they use most often. For a series where players can spend hundreds of hours moving between scouting reports, tactical screens, inbox messages, and squad data, seemingly small navigation changes can significantly affect how smoothly a save progresses.

Adaptive Layouts and Scaling Offer More Control

Customisation is another major part of the first feature drop. Football Manager 27 will introduce improved scaling and adaptive layouts designed to make better use of different display sizes while letting players shape the interface around their preferences.

The idea is to make information easier to read without sacrificing the density that has long defined Football Manager‘s identity. Sports Interactive is also expanding customisation options so players can tailor parts of the experience around their managerial habits, rather than expecting everyone to work through the same layout.

More Football Manager 27 Feature Drops Are Coming

This is only the beginning of Sports Interactive’s pre-launch rollout. The studio says this first deep dive marks the start of a regular series of feature updates covering different areas of Football Manager 27, with player feedback continuing to influence what is shown and how systems are refined.

Football Manager 27 Navigation

There are still several major details missing, however. Sports Interactive has not yet announced Football Manager 27’s exact November release date, supported platforms or pre-order information, with those details promised closer to launch.

For now, though, the first feature drop suggests the studio is starting with something every Football Manager player interacts with constantly: making the game easier to navigate without stripping away the depth underneath.
