Grand Game Awards 2026 Takes Place December 17
The Grand Game Awards will return for its fourth edition on December 17, bringing another round of industry awards, public voting and game reveals before the year comes to an end.
The organisers have yet to announce this year’s nominees, presenters or featured games, but Grand Game Awards 2026 will once again recognise games, studios, developers, performers, esports talent and creators from across the industry.
The show also doubles as a showcase for upcoming releases, with developers and publishers given space to debut trailers, gameplay and project updates alongside the awards themselves. Further details surrounding voting, the international jury and this year’s programme will be announced closer to the event through the official Grand Game Awards website.
Grand Game Awards Continues to Expand
Last year’s third edition took place on December 19, with organisers reporting 500,000 votes, 67 jury members and more than 38.7 million impressions worldwide. The ceremony featured 45 award categories and more than 50 games and projects, with industry figures including Phil Spencer, Shuhei Yoshida and Peter Moore appearing alongside developers, performers and creators.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 emerged as one of the biggest winners, taking both Grand Game of the Year and Fan’s Grand Game of the Year, alongside several other awards. The RPG was also among our own favourites of 2025, featuring prominently in SavePoint Gaming’s 2025 awards.
Other winners included Hollow Knight: Silksong, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Monster Hunter Wilds, Silent Hill f, Split Fiction and Doom: The Dark Ages, the latter of which earned a perfect score from us.
New Game Announcements Will Return
The Grand Game Awards has also increasingly used its ceremony as a platform for game reveals rather than focusing exclusively on handing out trophies.
More than 30 projects appeared during the 2025 showcase, ranging from independent releases to major games and hardware. Titles included Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, The Scroll of Taiwu: Beyond The Dome, Songs of Silence, ONYXPRISM and Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage, alongside the ROG Xbox Ally.
Organisers say that element will return for Grand Game Awards 2026, although no reveals have been confirmed yet. Grand Game Awards creator Raouf Belhamra said the aim is to continue growing the event as a platform where studios, developers and creators can showcase their work rather than simply serving the awards themselves.
Grand Game Awards 2026 takes place on December 17, with nominees, voting details, guests and showcase announcements still to come.
