GOG Revives and Remasters Dino Crisis & Dino Crisis 2 for PC

Packed with Many Remaster-style Improvements, Dino Crisis 1 and Dino Crisis 2 Pc Versions Are Now Available on Gog.

Most gamers have long been hoping for a new instalment in the Dino Crisis series from Capcom. While that dream has yet to come true — which hurts more, especially after the confirmation of a new Onimusha project set for 2026— it hasn’t diminished fans’ hopes in the slightest. At the very least, thanks to the gaming platform GOG, you can still enjoy the classics on modern machines.

Just as it has done so for plenty of other older games which would otherwise never see the light of day again in the modern era, GOG has partnered with Capcom in releasing both Dino Crisis and Dino Crisis 2 on PC. It is fully compatible and playable for modern rigs, and you can still enjoy the adventures of Secret Operation Raid Team agent Regina fighting dinosaurs.

These are remastered as well, boasting a ton of tweaks and improvements to level them up. Both games are now fully playable on Windows 10/11, featuring up to 4K resolution rendering support, enhanced geometry calculations, and modern controller support, including DualSense. Additionally, they will include an exclusive PC mode — Operation Wipe Out.

The interest in Dino Crisis as a series seems to have resurfaced in full force recently, helped by the emergence of a spiritual successor in TeamKill Media’s Code Violet. However, aside from its focus on genetically modified dinosaurs as enemies, the game and its developers have courted controversy with their take on PC modding, and the troubles it can potentially bring. Predictably, that has not gone down well with the PC crowd, so that’s another situation developing.

At least now, thanks to GOG, you can count on Capcom and the classic experiences of both Dino Crisis and its proper sequel. Hopefully, good sales numbers for the remasters will convince Capcom to successfully revive the franchise as it did for Resident Evil, and follow up on the Onimusha reboot with even more gaming goodness.

Both games are now available for purchase on GOG.
