Tap Into SEGA XD Game Developers’ Expertise With New “Brain Rental” Service

Tap into Sega Xd Game Developers' Expertise with New Brain Rental Service

Trying anything new can be daunting, but getting some help from the experts in the field is always helpful. Of course, the most difficult step is to start, and if you are trying to break into the video gaming space and unaware of where to start, a helping hand from one of the more successful companies in recent times might just do the trick. Enter SEGA XD‘s Brain Rental service, otherwise known as Braintal.

The gamification subsidiary of the main SEGA has undoubtedly broken new ground with this service. As reported by Automaton, it essentially allows you to “rent” the minds of game developers for your projects instead of relying on other methods like artificial intelligence.

By using this service, companies and government institutions — not individuals — can seek support from actual developers for brainstorming ideas, crafting proposals, or preparing everything needed to kickstart the development process of a game. This can be a great way to new studios or those pivoting into gaming to shore up their capabilities at the beginning, before finding talent of their own once everything is more or less set in stone.

Braintal will be offered in at least three different product tiers, each with varying prices. The most affordable option is intended for light brainstorming sessions, priced at around ¥100,000 per session. More expensive options will include full proposals, and extensive plans that can include more details. As of now, Braintal offers at least five different talents, each specialising in different areas such as app development and game production.

There is no confirmed information yet on whether any companies or government agencies in Japan have already utilised this service, but it is interesting to say the least.
