Time to set your alarms, Nintendo fans, as the Big N has now announced that the previously exclusive Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo will soon be released for purchase for all without the need for a Nintendo Switch Online membership.
The date to mark on your calendars will be March 10, otherwise known as National Mario Day, with interested players from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, the US, and Europe being able to get their hands on this unique product.
As the official announcement states, the Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo will be available in stores at participating retailers on that date, so it will be important to know just where you can get them in your country. For example, in Singapore, the gadget can be pre-ordered via the official Nintendo Stores on Lazada and Shopee for S$159.
If you are unsure about what the Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo is, it is essentally an interactive alarm clock that helps spice up your wake-up routine with a dose of gaming goodness. This will include animations, sounds, and characters from some of Nintendo’s biggest games. As of now, there are 35 scenes from titles such as Super Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild to choose from, with more downloadable.
In addition to that, there are other functions like an hourly chime, sleepy sounds to help you get into the mood for sleep, and a personal favourite, the Button Mode for a more tactile “hit the snooze button” alarm clock experience.
While the Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo is a really cool collectible and functional item, the price is pretty steep for essentially a digital alarm clock. Fans probably won’t care, and it should make for a decent gift for your Nintendo loving friend or loved one, so make sure you camp out on March 10.
