Marvel Rivals Update Adds Galacta’s Cosmic Adventure Event & More

Marvel Rivals

NetEase Games will soon release their latest update for Marvel Rivals, adding several balancing changes, optimisation fixes, and a brand new mode. Furthermore, the Galacta’s Cosmic Adventure event will launch a day after the update on March 7 and last until April 11.

Upon starting the event, players can earn the special Mrs. Barnes outfit for Black Widow. Alongside Galacta’s Cosmic Adventure debuts a game-changing new mode called Clone Rumble, in which players can choose to play as the same heroes as their teammates, allowing for previously impossible team compositions that create a unique experience. The game mode will be available at intervals, ending on March 10, before returning from March 14 to 17 and 21 to 24.

The series of optimisation tweaks include improved rewards for the Human Torch’s Lord Proficiency avatar, a new microphone setting referred to as voice enhancement, and a mid-match ability to report players who leave matches prematurely.

On top of the new waves of content being added to the game, Marvel Rivals will also be seeing a myriad of fixes, like remedying several UI issues, such as the issue in which switching from a Proficiency Deluxe Avatar back to a standard one would require a restart. Additionally, career profiles will now update more frequently and display players’ most recent stats, and the blocklist full notification will function properly rather than falsely reporting as a friends list full notification.

Heroes have also seen several patches, with some focused on UI bugs and visual glitches, such as Loki’s HUD vanishing upon transforming and Human Torch’s Pyro-Prison not disappearing upon defeat. Most are focused on gameplay issues like Hela occasionally being launched upwards after activating her ultimate and Peni Parker’s positioning being misaligned when hit by Namor’s ultimate.

With NetEase Games looking to support Marvel Rivals for the long term, even with changes behind the scenes, fans should expect to get more updates such as this in the coming future.
