Adidas Embraces Chaos in New Deadpool & Wolverine Collection

Adidas Embraces Chaos in New Deadpool & Wolverine Collection

With Deadpool & Wolverine hitting theatres real soon, it might not be enough for some hardcore Marvel fans to see Hugh Jackman finally get into those yellow tights just in time to meet Ryan Reynolds’ smart-talking mercenary. Thankfully, there’s always merchandise to help you with that, with Adidas revealing a Deadpool & Wolverine collection that is sure to catch the eye.

The Adidas Originals line includes two Rivalry Low variants, an adizero Electric cleat for sports, a variety of graphic tees, and an Adidas Originals silhouette worn in the film.

The collection embodies unmistakable colour blocking and distinct detailing of Deadpool and Wolverine’s iconic characters, including tongue-and-cheek jokes on sock liners, censored language characters, and storage pouches on the Deadpool-inspired Rivalry Low and adizero Electric cleat—nodding to the seemingly excessive amount of pouches the ‘Merc with a Mouth’ keeps on his costume. The Wolverine-inspired Rivalry Low includes colour blocking as an homage to the classic yellow Wolverine Super Hero suit, which will make its in-film debut in this latest entry.

“Bringing together these iconic franchises with Marvel Studios’ ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ has been an exciting collaborative journey. Our relationship with Marvel and its fans continues to unlock opportunities for us as a brand to develop products to be used in films and worn by fans as they celebrate the launches of highly anticipated films. We’re excited for fans to get their hands on this collection and see it come to life in the film this summer,” said Shane Jochum, senior director of strategic partnerships at Adidas.

Needless to say, there will be no mistaking where your allegiance lies when catching Deadpool & Wolverine in a theatre near you when sporting these new additions. The Adidas Deadpool & Wolverine collection will go on sale in selected markets starting on August 1, be it in stores, online, or via the Adidas app.
