Capcom Details Improvements in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster

It has only been slightly more than a month since Capcom surprised us with Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, and now, a new Director Report has dropped to give fans a clearer idea of what to expect from the game when it launches on September 19.

Brought back to life with Capcom’s RE ENGINE, Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is the definitive remaster of the classic Dead Rising game from 2006, with improved 4K resolution graphics and a 60 FPS frame rate. Zombie slayers can experience a fresh take on the zombie genre with incredible action, over-the-top combat, hordes of weapon choices, eccentric costumes, and a comedic yet compelling storyline.

Some of the additional details highlighted include:

  • Quality-of-Life Improvements: Improvements such as the ability to complete certain actions while talking on the transceiver and uninterrupted calls, even when being attacked, have been introduced.
  • Say Cheese!: Various photo filters like Black and White, Sepia, Vintage, Pixel Art, and more have been added to the game’s photo feature so players can flex their creative muscles as the best zombie-hunting photojournalist in the biz.
  • An All-Star Cast: Take a deeper look into some of the returning fan-favourite characters like the militaristic Brad Garrison, the new Department of Homeland Security agent Jessie McCarney, and the tight-lipped Russell Barnaby, plus some of the lovely Psychopaths like the Convicts Steven Chapman, and Larry Chiang!

The main experience in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster remains Frank West’s crusade to survive the 72 hours in Willamette Parkview Mall, taking on zombies, shooting great photos, and acquiring new skills along the way. Besides meeting other NPCs that will have roles to play, there are also a bunch of Psychopaths that will stand in your way, each unique and terrifying.

For those seeking a physical copy, Capcom has also announced that the game will hit store shelves on November 8, but only for the PlayStation 5.
