Singapore is home to many things, and it seems that gaming companies are seeing the benefits of pitching their tents on the island nation. Following in the footsteps of Capcom, SEGA, and many others, Japanese publisher and developer Cygames has now made its own move, opening a new office in Singapore.
At the helm will be managing director, Masafumi Chiba, with the team set to work closely with colleagues in Korea and Taiwan to continue the growth in Asia.
“Cygames first established its Global Business Development team in 2017, followed by branches in
Korea and Taiwan to promote and market titles overseas. Following the establishment of
Cygames America and Cygames Europe last year, Cygames Singapore is the latest addition to the
company’s ongoing push for global expansion, with a particular focus on promoting and marketing
its titles in Asian regions,” the company shared in a press release.
“In keeping with the company’s vision to be the best in entertainment, Cygames strives to
continue providing high-quality content for fans all around the globe.”
Recent games released by Cygames include the action role-playing title, Granblue Fantasy: Relink, as well as several fighting games set in the same universe, with Granblue Fantasy Versus and Granblue Fantasy Versus: Striking being the more recognisable releases. In addition to console games, the company is also active in the mobile and browser space.
