With a new cover superstar and plenty of improvements under the hood, the arrival of EA Sports FC 25 on September 27 cannot come quick enough as the new footballing seasons are getting into gear this August. For those that much prefer the squad building madness of Ultimate Team, EA has revealed a new lineup of Heroes that will definitely help you dominate the opposition early on.
To celebrate today’s announcement, watch the comic-book style EA SPORTS FC Heroes trailer showcasing the Origin-to-Prime Hero transformations of Eden Hazard, Tim Howard, Laura Georges, and Maicon as they change from debutants to superheroes, each demonstrating the unique, out-of-this-world abilities they bring to The World’s Game.
13 new Heroes will make their debut in EA Sports FC 25, each with the ability to grow with your Football Ultimate Team club just as they did during their respective careers. This is through the Origin Hero version of these players, which will be automatically upgraded to a Prime Hero variant on November 28.
Donning their masks, capes and super-suits as larger-than-life versions of themselves, this year’s roster of EA Sports FC 25 Ultimate Team Heroes will include 13 new additions:

- Guti
- Jaap Stam
- Jamie Carragher
- Laura Georges
- Maicon
- Marek Hamšík
- Mohammed Noor
- Tim Howard
- Zé Roberto
“It can be a well-timed challenge, a gut-busting run, a last-minute winner or anything in-between; hero status amongst the fans is a badge of honour for any footballer,” said Charlie Villiers, Sr. Director of Franchise Marketing. “With this year’s incredible set of Heroes launching in Ultimate Team this September, we wanted to capture the moments that signalled their commitment to the club and celebrate these players’ journeys to cement hero status.”
“There’s a lot of heroes in this beautiful game that we love across the globe, and the fact that I’m one of the FC Heroes this year is special to me,” added Tim Howard, the American goalkeeper. “I’m excited to play in goal in FC 25.”
Fans who pre-order EA Sports FC 25 Ultimate Edition before August 20 will also receive an untradeable Hero or ICON Player Item in FC 24 Ultimate Team from the Greats of the Game campaign.
