Embrace the Corruption in Mask of Darkness DLC for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown

It’s always good to see a fun game get more content, and if you have not grown weary of the Meteroidvania goodness of the stylish Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, then it’s time to jump back in with the new Mask of Darkness DLC releasing today from Ubisoft.

Expanding Sargon’s story with a brand new chapter, players will get to experience the stellar platforming and action of the game in a fresh world of exclusive biomes.

In the Mask of Darkness DLC, Sargon is being hunted by one of the assassination specialists of the Immortals, Radjen. When he finally faces her, he gets trapped in her Mind Palace, a corrupted dimension of dark magic filled with dreamlike landscapes and otherworldly creations. With his soul on the line, Sargon must fight his way out of nightmarish environments and epic battles to uncover the secrets that lie behind the Mask of Darkness, buried deep within Radjen’s mind.

Along the way, players will discover four surprising and surreal new biomes with more than ten new types of traversal obstacles, including deadly traps and merciless mechanisms that range from lasers to teleportation portals. In between platforming sequences, they will face six otherworldly new enemy archetypes, as well as three epic Bosses – along with new combat abilities to overcome them granted by three new Amulets, a key aspect of the Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown experience.

If you have not gotten the Complete Edition of the game, which will pack in the Mask of Darkness DLC alongside others, you can still purchase it as a standalone product. For Ubisoft+ subscribers, you area already all set as the game will automatically be upgraded to the Complete Edition.

Additionally, to give fans a foretaste of the 35^th anniversary celebrations of the Prince of Persia franchise, the Prince of Persia: Warrior Within outfit will be available for free to all players in the near future. 

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is available on Ubisoft+, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, as well as PC through the Ubisoft Store, Epic Games Store, and Steam.
