As we move into the halfway mark of July, the Street Fighter movie adaptation continues to fill out its roster. Hot on the heels of the addition of M. Bison, we now know who will likely fill the roles of the stretchy fire-breathing Dhalsim and the swift-handed E. Honda on the Capcom and Legendary Entertainment project.
As reported by Deadline, the role of the former will be filled by Indian star Vidyut Jammwal (Commando). This is according to sources who confirmed the news with Deadline. If all goes to plan, Jammwal will be making his Hollywood debut as the yogi who is capable of fighting near and from afar.
On the other hand, the role of E. Honda will be going to Japanese wrestler Hirooki Goto, as reported by Fightful. Fans of New Japan Pro-Wrestling will be familiar with Goto, who will need to fill the shoes of the iconic Honda, a professional sumo wrestler who has put many opponents down using his power and deceptive speed.

Having claimed many championships over the years, this will be a new frontier for Goto. However, he won’t be alone, as WWE superstars Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns are also involved in the Street Fighter movie as Guile and Akuma.
Who is in the Street Fighter Movie?
With two more fighters joining in the fun, the roster and cast of the project have gotten even more intimidating. Aside from Jammwal as Dhalsim and Goto as E. Honda, they are joined by Andrew Koji as Ryu, Jason Momoa as Blanka, Noah Centineo as Ken, Callina Liang as Chun-Li, Orville Peck as Vega, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson as Balrog, and the aforementioned Dastmalchian, Rhodes, and Reigns.

The plot itself is still a mystery, however, but it shouldn’t deviate too much from a fighting tournament that pits the world’s best against each other. What their motivations are would be the interesting part, as in making sure each of these recognisable characters have their time to shine in the spotlight.
