With a brand new console already out in the wild in the form of the Nintendo Switch 2, the attention now turns to the games that you can play on the shiny new machine. This includes the upcoming Pokémon Legends: Z-A, and eager to keep fans excited, the latest Pokémon Presents presentation revealed more details about the next big entry, as well as many other interesting updates you need to keep an eye on.
If you didn’t have the time to catch everything in real time, here’s what you have missed in a digestible format.
Mega Dragonite in Pokémon Legends: Z-A
Arriving on October 16, the latest update on the new game centres around Mega Evolutions, particularly for Dragonite. Mega Dragonite will see the base Pokémon grow out the wings on its head as well as the pearl at the end of its tail, bringing another dimension to a fan-favourite creature.
It won’t just be Mega Dragonite having all the fun. Rogue Mega Evolution Pokémon will also make an appearance, so be sure to stay on your toes. In terms of characters, expect to see friendly faces and dangerous foes alike, with the Rust Syndicate, led by Corbeau, a clear nuisance.
Pokémon Friends
Players looking for some puzzling fun can look to Pokémon Friends, which is already available on the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and mobile devices. Crack your brain across 1,200 puzzles and collect 150 different toys to decorate as you deem fit. It might not be the same as a full-fledged adventure, but it is still an adorable distraction.
Pokémon Champions
If battling is more your thing, then Pokémon Champions will be where you want to head next. Launching sometime in 2026 for the Switches and mobile devices, prepare to build the best team there ever was and engage in fully 3D battles.
Earn yourself a place in legend as you accrue Victory Points, or partake in other fun modes such as Casual Battles and Private Battles. The choice is yours on the road to becoming a true champion.
PokéPark Kanto

Venturing out of video games was the announcement of PokéPark Kanto, where over 26,000 square feet of enjoyment awaits in the first-ever permanent outdoor Pokémon attraction. Arriving in Yomiuriland in Tokyo’s Tama Hills early next year, fans will be welcomed by over 600 different monsters as they explore Pokémon Forest and Sedge Town
Head to town and check out the Pokémon Trainers’ Market, Pokémon Centre, Poké Mart, Sedge Gym, a Pokémon parade, and other attractions. Tickets will go on sale in 2025, with further details to be announced in the coming months.
Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch’d & Pichu
A more unique kind of animation will soon grace the series, as the Aardman-produced stop motion project now has a name: Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch’d & Pichu. The short trailer teased at the fun potential of the misadventures of the titular duo, and we can’t wait to see more.
