God of War Trilogy Remake and Sons of Sparta

Santa Monica Studio confirmed that the original God of War trilogy is officially being remade. While detailed gameplay footage of the remakes has yet to be shared, the announcement signals a full-scale revival of Kratos’ Greek saga for modern hardware.

Saros will launch exclusively on PS5 on April 30. With each new showing, the title appears positioned as one of the platform’s major first-half releases.

Ghost of Yōtei Legends

Sucker Punch confirmed that Legends, the multiplayer co op mode for Ghost of Yōtei, will arrive as a free update on March 10.

The update expands the studio’s latest PS5 exclusive beyond its single-player focus, reinforcing PlayStation’s continued interest in post-launch multiplayer support for its flagship titles.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach on PC

As expected, Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will expand beyond PS5, launching on PC on March 19 as revealed on State of Play.

Marathon

Bungie’s team-based extraction shooter, Marathon, remains on track for its March 6 launch. Ahead of release, a Server Slam will be open to all players from February 27 through March 3.

Players will explore psychological horror themes through story-driven encounters and evasive combat. The device appears central to both survival mechanics and uncovering deeper layers of mystery.

007 First Light

IO Interactive debuted a brand new story trailer for 007 First Light at State of Play, offering a closer look at its original take on the early days of James Bond. Set partly in Iceland, the trailer shows Bond’s exploits drawing the attention of MI6 as the agency considers him for its newly revived 00 programme.

The narrative places Bond alongside John Greenway, a former 00 agent now serving as a training instructor. Together, they must confront 009, a rogue British operative who has gone off the grid.

Beast of Reincarnation

Beast of Reincarnation launches on August 4 for PS5, bringing a one-person, one-dog action RPG to a far-future Japan scarred by catastrophe.

Players control Emma, a blight-corrupted outcast, alongside her companion Koo, a malefactor feared by society. Combat blends real-time swordplay with a command system that directs Koo in a way reminiscent of turn-based RPG structure. The dual character system appears central to both combat rhythm and narrative progression, offering a tactical layer beneath its action foundation.

Six years after Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia, the series once again embraces hex-grid tactical battles in a single-player-focused campaign. The revival signals a renewed interest in classic strategy design, modernised for PS5 while maintaining the deliberate pacing that defined its predecessors.

Crimson Moon

Developed by ProbablyMonsters, Crimson Moon is a gothic action adventure RPG set in a world of angels, demons, and ancient gods, and was an exciting addition to State of Play.

Players can tackle the campaign solo or in co op, with dynamic difficulty scaling that adjusts based on party composition. Enemy layouts and encounter intensity shift accordingly, reinforcing replayability. The game launches later this year on PS5.

Star Wars: Galactic Racer

Star Wars: Galactic Racer brings high-stakes racing to the Outer Rim, launching later this year on PS5.

The State of Play gameplay reveal showcased multiple planets, vehicles, and racers competing in an unsanctioned circuit. The runs-based structure suggests replay-driven progression in a lawless galaxy setting.

Yakoh Shinobi Ops

Yakoh Shinobi Ops is a four-player online isometric action game arriving on PS5 next year.

Players combine unique ninjutsu abilities to infiltrate guarded territories, evade traps, and escape an unstoppable Pursuer that constantly pressures the team. Cooperation and stealth appear equally critical to survival.
