With the unstoppable global rise of K-pop, it’s no surprise that the video game industry continues to ride the wave. What began with Riot Games’ bold move in creating the virtual idol group K/DA for League of Legends has since evolved into more involved integrations, such as the collaboration between Overwatch 2 and LE SSERAFIM. Street Fighter 6 is now joining the fun with a new partnership with aespa/æspa.
Following a brief teaser released some time ago, Capcom has officially unveiled full details surrounding its latest collaboration with the popular K-pop girl group under SM Entertainment.
One of the key reveals answers a question that had puzzled fans: why was Juri left out of the recently announced summer swimsuit costume lineup? As it turns out, she was being reserved for this exciting collaboration. This decision seems intentional, as both Juri and the group hail from South Korea, making the pairing culturally and thematically fitting.
Street Fighter 6 x aespa Content
Launching on July 4, the collaboration will feature exclusive aespa-themed content centred around Juri. This includes a special costume inspired by the group’s aesthetic, a K-pop remix of Juri’s theme song, and additional visual effects that will appear during the pre-fight sequence in the Fighting Ground mode.
The crossover also introduces Naevis, the AI character who plays a central role in the group’s fictional universe and marketing narrative. Naevis will make a special appearance in Street Fighter 6 as a real-time commentator for matches, adding a unique twist for fans interested in both K-pop and fighting games.

Players can also expect more themed content in the Battle Hub, including visual decorations and potentially timed events tied to the collaboration. Capcom has confirmed that Juri’s new costume will remain available for purchase for at least one year, until sometime in 2026. However, Battle Hub content may have a shorter availability window, aligning with typical event-based content rollouts.
With this partnership, Street Fighter 6 continues to embrace cross-media collaborations, bringing fresh energy and a new audience into the arena.
