Instead, the news surfaced through the Apple’s iPhone 17 Newsroom announcement, where the game was highlighted as a showcase title for the device’s gaming performance.
According to Apple’s fine print, the new take is scheduled to launch in early 2026.
From Tower Defence to Open-World RPG
Unlike the original game, which was a mobile tower defence experience, Endfield marks a significant evolution for the franchise. Hypergryph is reimagining the series as a full-fledged open-world action RPG, with fast-paced combat and exploration.
A core feature will be an infrastructure-building system, allowing players to construct and manage facilities to support their journey, blending gacha elements with resource management.
Platforms and Availability
While Apple’s announcement confirms the early 2026 release window, it remains unclear if the date applies across all platforms or only iOS.
Hypergryph has already confirmed that Arknights: Endfield will launch on PlayStation 5, PC, iOS, and Android.
