Bethesda Outlines Major Nintendo Switch 2 Releases
During the latest Nintendo Direct, Bethesda confirmed a slate of high-profile releases heading to Nintendo Switch 2 throughout 2026, reinforcing the platform’s growing appeal for large-scale cinematic and role-playing experiences. The announcements span multiple flagship franchises, ranging from action-adventure to open-world RPGs, and signal deeper third-party commitment to Nintendo’s next-generation hardware.
The lineup is led by Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, with confirmed launch dates for Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition and the long-awaited arrival of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered on Nintendo platforms.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Arrives in May
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on May 12, bringing MachineGames’ cinematic adventure to the hybrid platform. Set in 1937 between Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade, the game places players in the role of Indiana Jones as he travels across the globe, uncovering ancient mysteries and confronting sinister forces.
The Switch 2 version uses the platform’s hardware features, including motion controls that enhance exploration, stealth, combat, and puzzle-solving. Players can use Indy’s iconic whip both as a traversal tool and in combat, blending narrative-driven gameplay with environmental interaction.
Pre-orders are now available digitally and at retail, while the story expansion The Order of Giants will also launch digitally on the same day. Availability varies by region: physical game card details are still to be confirmed in Japan, and a digital-only release is planned for Korea.
Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition Heads to Switch 2 in February
Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition will launch digitally on Nintendo Switch 2 on February 24, offering the most complete version of Bethesda’s post-apocalyptic RPG. The edition includes all six official add-ons alongside more than 150 pieces of Creation Club content, providing an expansive sandbox for both newcomers and returning players.
Set in the ruins of post-nuclear Boston, Fallout 4 tasks players with surviving, building settlements, forming alliances, and shaping the wasteland’s future. Pre-orders are already live on the Nintendo eShop, with a physical code-in-box release scheduled for April 28, 2026.
Oblivion Remastered Opens Cyrodiil to Nintendo Players
Later in 2026, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered will arrive on Nintendo Switch 2, marking the first time Cyrodiil is playable on a Nintendo console. Developed in partnership with Virtuos, the remaster modernises the 2006 RPG classic with visual upgrades and refined systems across combat, progression, menus, and character creation.
The game will be available digitally at launch, with a physical code-in-box edition planned for a later date. Its arrival continues Bethesda’s effort to bring its legacy RPG catalogue to new audiences on modern hardware.
Skyrim Physical Edition Also Confirmed

Bethesda also confirmed that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition will receive a physical code-in-box release for Nintendo Switch 2 on April 28. The edition includes the base game, Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn expansions, along with platform-specific enhancements such as improved performance, motion controls, Joy-Con 2 mouse support, and Amiibo functionality.
Nintendo-exclusive content inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, including the Master Sword and Hylian Shield, will also be included, further cementing Skyrim’s long-standing presence on Nintendo platforms.
Taken together, these announcements represent one of Bethesda’s strongest showings on a Nintendo platform to date. With major franchises spanning action-adventure and RPGs confirmed for Nintendo Switch 2, the company is positioning the console as a serious destination for large-scale, content-rich experiences in the years ahead.
