Ask a horror fan of a particular vintage, and they might just tell you how much of an impact the Hellraiser franchise had on them. After all, the very idea of the Cenobites has left a deep impression in the realm of film, but now, the horror is finally crossing over to video games. Saber Interactive and Boss Team Games have pulled back the curtain on Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival, and we are already spooked.
A brand-new, single-player, survival horror action game set in the universe of this horror icon, players must muster the courage to face the legendary Pinhead. And actor Doug Bradley will be returning to the role for the first time in nearly two decades, ensuring that your fears are not unfounded.
“Working on the first true Hellraiser game has been a venture deep into the recesses of my darkest imaginings,” said Clive Barker, the franchise creator.
“The dedication that Saber and Boss Team Games have shown is nothing short of remarkable. They’ve immersed themselves in the Hellraiser universe, capturing its essence, the seductive pull of suffering, the beauty within the grotesque, and forged a narrative that invites players to step beyond the threshold. I’m eager for both the curious and the damned to experience this new chapter in the Hellraiser mythos, where every moment balances on the brink of nightmare and revelation.”
“Hellraiser is the quintessential horror franchise, and lends itself perfectly to a video game,” added Matthew Karch, CEO of Saber. “Saber has had success with horror IPs in the past, and working alongside Clive to create tense gameplay and a new story that delves into the twisted depths of pain and pleasure has been a real treat. We look forward to opening up the gates of hell.”
What to Expect From Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival
As a game, Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival is all about survival horror, presented as a new chapter that fans must experience. As Aidan, it is up to you to unlock the dark powers of the Genesis Configuration, a mysterious puzzle box, to save your girlfriend from a hellish abyss.

Only the box’s infernal abilities can help you to survive the pact with the sinister Pinhead and battle against the twisted cult that worships him and the Cenobites. That, as well as more conventional weapons, can be used to eliminate the foes who just so happen to love pain and suffering.
The game is currently in development and will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
