Devolver’s Minos Brings Deadly Maze-Building Roguelite to PC This Spring

Minos Charges Toward Spring 2026 Release

Devolver Digital and developer Artificer have confirmed that Minos will launch in Spring 2026 on PC via Steam.

The announcement came alongside a new gameplay overview trailer showcasing the game’s distinctive blend of maze construction, strategy, and roguelite progression.

A Roguelite From the Monster’s Perspective

Minos flips Greek mythology on its head by casting players as the Minotaur itself. Rather than navigating the maze as a hero, players build and defend it against waves of treasure-hunting adventurers determined to slay the beast within.

Each run introduces new enemies, traps, and layout possibilities. The objective is not only to survive but to outsmart intruders through careful architectural planning and lethal creativity.

Build, Trap, and Destroy

The core loop in Minos revolves around shaping the labyrinth. Players can drag walls, reposition gates, and redesign corridors to control how invaders progress. Long winding paths can be filled with hazards, or rotating passages can split parties into isolated targets.

Traps form the heart of the strategy. Spikes, blades, boulders, fire traps, and pressure plates can be chained together into cascading death sequences. A single trigger can unleash a carefully engineered series of disasters, rewarding clever placement and timing.

If adventurers push too close to the centre of the maze, players can take direct control of the Minotaur, engaging in close-quarters combat to finish the job personally.

Mythology With a Moral Edge

Beyond its mechanical focus, Minos also explores the story behind the creature. The game promises narrative elements tied to Daedalus, Theseus, and the origins of the labyrinth itself, inviting players to question who the real monster might be.

With its mix of strategy, puzzle design, and roguelite unpredictability, this is going to be an interesting, mythological twist on dungeon defence, and with Devolver Digital behind it, it already has a good start. A free Steam demo is available now, giving players an early chance to experiment with maze layouts and trap combinations ahead of its Spring 2026 launch.
