Dragon Ball Z Blasts into Minecraft with Playable Goku, Vegeta, and More

Minecraft’s new Dragon Ball Z DLC brings Goku, Vegeta, and epic tournament arcs to the sandbox world.

Minecraft’s Dragon Ball Z Crossover Goes Super Saiyan

Mojang has officially unleashed one of its biggest crossovers yet: Dragon Ball Z has arrived in Minecraft, marking a new era of anime-inspired DLC for the block-building phenomenon.

The crossover merges the charm of the game’s pixelated world with the explosive energy of Akira Toriyama’s legendary franchise, giving fans a fully playable experience filled with familiar characters, story arcs, and combat styles straight out of the anime.

Play as Legendary Heroes

After a series of teasers, Mojang confirmed that the new DLC is now live on the Minecraft Marketplace. Players can step into the roles of Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Majin Buu, and several other iconic fighters, each equipped with distinct powers and abilities.

The expansion reimagines key storylines — including the Cell Games and World Martial Arts Tournament — all presented through the distinctive cube-based visuals.

Action-Packed Battles Across the Sky

This isn’t a simple cosmetic pack. The DLC introduces solo missions, co-op play, and intense 5v5 battle modes, complete with character-specific attacks like the Kamehameha and Galick Gun. Players can also equip themselves with classic Dragon Ball items, such as the Scouter, although without its trademark power level readings.

From flying through blocky landscapes to duelling enemies in energy-charged arenas, the crossover offers a surprising level of depth for both longtime fans and new adventurers alike.

The new DLC is available now for purchase on the Minecraft Marketplace, priced at 1,510 Minecoins.
