A New Class of Legends Arrives
With football season approaching and EA Sports FC 26 set to release on September 26, EA has confirmed the next wave of ICONs joining the game. These legendary players will be available across modes, giving fans the chance to build dream squads blending modern stars with football’s most iconic names.
According to EA, the new ICON lineup “includes a blend of legendary men’s and women’s players of recent generations who inspired fans globally with their world-class talent.”
The 12 New EA Sports FC 26 ICONs
The EA SPORTS class of FC 26 ICONS includes:
- Zlatan Ibrahimović
- Alex Morgan
- Andrés Iniesta
- Toni Kroos
- Caroline Seger
- Giorgio Chiellini
- Sissi
- Francesco Totti
- Marcelo
- Steffi Jones
- Oliver Kahn
- Cha Bum-Kun
Considering that out of the 12 new ICONs, seven have just retired, this will be a great chance for players to keep the legends alive and make their team even stronger in the days to come. This will likely be the case in Football Ultimate Team, where the competitive gameplay preset will let these players shine with “smoother dribbling, faster passing, more stamina, and unlimited control”.
At the same time, the fresh Archetypes feature will also be brought to life with these ICONs in EA Sports FC 26. It will be interesting to see how Zlatan Ibrahimović (Target), Alex Morgan (Finisher), Toni Kroos (Maestro), Andrés Iniesta (Creator), and Oliver Kahn (Shot Stopper) figure into a dream team.

The Debut ICON will be available from Early Access Launch, which will upgrade to a Champion version in November.
