Cor3 was introduced through a brief teaser video shared by Nikita Buyanov, the creative lead most closely associated with Escape From Tarkov. The footage immediately signals a dramatic tonal shift, trading modern military realism for a futuristic science fiction setting.
According to the game’s early description, the title is set in the year 2251. The narrative revolves around a group known as The Core, an organisation credited with preventing humanity’s total destruction. Their mission extends beyond survival, aiming to rebuild civilisation and unify global governments in the aftermath of collapse.
Gameplay Details Remain Unclear
At this stage, Battlestate Games has not outlined how Cor3 will actually play. There is no confirmation that it will follow the extraction shooter structure that defined Escape From Tarkov, nor has the studio clarified whether familiar systems such as persistent progression or high-stakes loss will return.
The teaser itself suggests a first-person perspective, but beyond that, the gameplay direction remains deliberately vague. For now, the project appears to be positioned as a clean slate rather than a direct evolution of Tarkov’s formula.
