A Cozy Builder With a Spooky Identity
Secret Mode and Absolutely Games have announced Fangtopia, a relaxing tile-based worldbuilder and puzzler that blends cosy aesthetics with gentle supernatural flair.
Fangtopia tasks players with constructing an ever-expanding landscape by placing forests, mountains, fields, and other terrain tiles. Points are earned by slotting matching tiles together, unlocking new structures and items as the kingdom grows.
The experience is designed to be pressure-free. There are no timers or fail states, allowing players to build, rearrange, and experiment at their own pace. The reveal arrives alongside a lighthearted announcement trailer that introduces the game’s tone and colourful art style.
Surprises Hidden Beneath the Surface
As players shape their realm, they will uncover a variety of supernatural features. Completing eerie landmarks provides major bonuses, while ghost train tracks can be laid to create networks that stretch across the world.

Fangtopia also introduces monster portals that bring new creatures into the kingdom, adding playful variety to the evolving landscape. Absolutely Games says the game is structured to encourage steady discovery, with unexpected features emerging as the world expands.
The Studio Behind Classified: France 44
Fangtopia is the second project from Absolutely Games, the Guildford-based studio known for Classified: France 44. Founded in 2019 by industry veterans James Brooksby and Adrian Hawkins, the team has grown into a dedicated group focused on strategy and simulation titles.
In a statement, Brooksby shared that the strong response to the early demo inspired the studio to expand the project further. He added that the partnership with Secret Mode allows the team to push Fangtopia’s playful, spooky identity even more.
Play the Demo on Steam Now
Players can try an extensive demo of Fangtopia on Steam, which offers an early look at terrain placement, landmarks, portals, and the emerging ghost train system. The full version of Fangtopia will release on PC in 2026.
