If you ever wondered if the shooter genre could do with more anime goodness, you are not alone. The folks over at Saroasis Studios have thought the same, and are currently hard at work putting the finishing touches on their free-to-play anime shooter, Fate Trigger.
Featuring a distinctive 3D anime-style and powered by the Unreal Engine 5, this is a hero-based tactical experience that aims to make its mark in the battle royale genre. While other similar games may require higher skill with chaotic gameplay, the developers aim to deliver a more approachable experience for players of all levels.
You will still get your fast-paced action and tactical depth to dive into, but if you want to shoot things with vibrant visuals, then Fate Trigger has you covered.
What is Fate Trigger?

As a shooter, Fate Trigger will bring to the table a deep roster of characters, each possessing unique skills that reward good coordination and teamwork. By working together and using the diverse abilities at your disposal, squads can find ways to come out on top.
For instance, players can purchase special power-ups for their armour or weapon at designated stations that offer a slight but meaningful strategic edge in combat. Coupled with the strategic use of said abilities, you can turn the tide quite quickly when up against the wall.
The dynamic terrain and traversal options also provide players with more opportunities to find creative solutions. You can find new angles to gain the upper hand, surprise flanks to outmanoeuvre their enemies, or escape danger through new routes as the playzone shrinks.
Using Unreal Engine 5 also helps to elevate the visuals and immersion, all while maintaining stable performance without compromising visual fidelity, even as battles between 100 players take place. To get players ready for what is to come, a Closed Beta for the game is also in the works.
Fate Trigger Closed Beta

With over 300,000 interested players during the Closed Alpha test, the game is now progressing at a rapid pace for the next phase. Starting today, the registrations for the Closed Beta of Fate Trigger will begin, and the test will kick off on July 24 7 PM PST/10 PM EST or July 25 10 AM SGT.
