Sunborn Games and HAOPLAY Limited have released their most recent update for Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium, the latest entry in its multi-media gacha series. Girls’ Frontline 2 is a military-themed strategy gacha game with stunning 3D anime-inspired visuals supported by non-photorealistic and physically based rendering technologies.
This new update, Aphelion, continues the story of the multimedia universe. It debuts a slew of new content, including playable characters, weapons, cosmetic items, and, most importantly, a new game mode.
The available roster of T-Dolls is being expanded with two new entries: a sentinel T-Doll named Klukai, a fan favourite on Chinese servers, and a support unit named Mechty. While Mechty won’t be available until 10 April, Klukai will be released alongside the update.

Klukai also launches her very own weapon, the Skylla, which takes visual inspiration from the HK416 assault rifle. Gameplay-wise, the rifle is designed to be versatile and provides many statistical advantages to the user, such as ignoring 10-20% of its target’s defence when exploiting phase weaknesses. It also deals area of effect damage by 15% and gains another 2% increase whenever corrosion damage is dealt up to a maximum of 10%.
The new game modes in Girls’ Frontline 2 are Boundary Push and Assault Simulation. In Boundary Push, players will send T-Doll into contamination zones to explore and salvage rare materials. Assault Simulation is a time attack mode in which players manually control their T-Dolls, running them through levels and defeating as many enemies as possible while remaining within the time limit.
The update also introduces a limited-time event in which gaining experience can reward players with access permissions and cosmetics. Klukai, along with other T-Dolls Makiatto and Peritia, has been given new outfits: Astral Luminous and Speed Star, Embroidered Bamboo and Blooming Shadows, and Born Huntress.
Girl’s Frontline 2: Exilium is available now as a free-to-play title on PC, Android, and iOS.
