Hozy Brings Cosy Room Renovation to PC and Mac This March

Calming Renovation Game Hozy Finds Its Release Date

tinyBuild and developer Come On Studio have confirmed that Hozy will officially launch on March 30. The soothing room renovation game will be available on PC and Mac via Steam.

With more than 250,000 wishlists ahead of launch, Hozy has quietly built momentum among players looking for a slower, more meditative alternative to traditional simulation and management games.

Restoring Homes One Room at a Time

Hozy places players in a neglected urban neighbourhood, asking them to restore abandoned homes one room at a time. Rather than focusing on efficiency or optimisation, the game emphasises atmosphere, tactile interaction, and personal expression. Think PowerWash Simulator and House Flipper.

Players clean, repair, and redecorate interiors using simple but satisfying mechanics, gradually bringing forgotten spaces back to life. Each restored room contributes to the broader sense of rebuilding not just homes, but the stories and memories tied to the community itself.

A Stress-Free Design Experience

At the heart of the game is what the developers call “The Hozy Flow.” There are no timers, scores, or penalties pushing players forward. Instead, progress unfolds at an entirely self-directed pace, allowing players to focus on the quiet satisfaction of small actions.

Whether wiping windows, scraping old paint, or placing furniture, every task is designed to feel deliberate and calming. The experience is intentionally low-pressure, catering to players who want to unwind rather than chase completion metrics.

Detail-Driven Cosiness and Atmosphere

Hozy leans heavily into environmental detail to reinforce its cosy tone. Small touches, such as plants gently swaying, lit candles, and natural soundscapes drifting in through open windows, help spaces feel alive.

Even mundane actions are given weight, from trash realistically tumbling into bins to dust particles reacting to movement. These micro-interactions are designed to create frequent moments of quiet satisfaction, reinforcing the game’s relaxed rhythm.

Creative Freedom in Decoration

Decoration plays a major role once a room has been restored. Hozy offers a curated selection of furniture and décor that complement one another. Players are free to rotate, move, and place items without restriction, experimenting with layouts and colour palettes.

Wall colours and flooring options are presented through harmonised tones, making it easy to create visually cohesive spaces while still allowing personal expression. The focus remains on creativity rather than rigid design rules.

Hozy will launch on March 30 on PC and Mac via Steam. A free Steam playtest is already available, giving players an early taste of the game’s renovation loop ahead of release.
