Kaiju Cleanup Brings Monster-Sized Messes to PC

Cleaning After the Carnage

Mythwright and Brightrock Games have announced Kaiju Cleanup, a new simulator that puts players in charge of tidying up after city-levelling monster attacks. Currently in development for PC, the game is now available for wishlisting on Steam.

Instead of battling skyscraper-sized creatures, players join KaijuCorp — a specialist hazardous-materials company tasked with clearing the remains of 400-foot monsters. From decontaminating ruined city streets to scrubbing away acidic fluids, the goal is to leave disaster zones spotless… or at least less radioactive.

A Hazardous Job With Humorous Twists

In Kaiju Cleanup, death is part of the job. Monster corpses leak radiation, acidic sludge, and even explosive organs. When your cleaner inevitably succumbs to these hazards, you simply send in another clone, mop up your own remains, and continue the mission.

Players can utilise an array of specialist tools, including laser cutters for slicing, claws for tearing, and power washers for scrubbing every last chunk of debris. Extracting innards, slurping up “monster jellies,” and sanitising walls of guts are all part of the process.

Career Mode and Customisation

Across the game’s career mode, players will complete contracts, earn upgrades, and customise their KaijuCorp base, outfit, and van. The experience is rounded out with crew interactions, audio logs, and a codex that gradually reveals more about the mysterious Kaiju.

“We’re thrilled to reveal our monster new IP Kaiju Cleanup today, in partnership with the hugely talented development team at Brightrock Games,” said Stuart Morton, publishing director at Mythwright.

Kaiju Cleanup brings a new monster-sized twist to the beloved cleaning simulation genre, soaked with quirky humour and satisfying gameplay, and sprinkled with scenarios that Kaiju disaster fans are going to love.”

Kaiju Cleanup is in development for PC. A release date has not yet been confirmed, but players can wishlist the game now on Steam.
