Marvel Rivals Kicks off Hellfire Gala Season 2 with More Maps, Hero & Features

The hero shooter genre has undergone a resurgence of late, thanks to NetEase Games and Marvel Games, with Marvel Rivals going from strength to strength, supported by a consistent content pipeline. Now, the teams have revealed what will be next for the team-based PvP shooter with its second season, and there is much to look forward to for the Hellfire Gala starting this April 11.

For starters, players will have the opportunity to check out the brand new characters: Emma Frost. After Dracula’s defeat, Frost prepared a lavish celebration, the annual Hellfire Gala. Unfortunately, the uninvited Ultron crashed the party, and the attending heroes must spring into action to protect Krakoa’s greatest treasure from his grasp.

As a Vanguard, the master of telepathy can adeptly utilize her telepathic and diamond abilities as the situation demands, standing at the forefront to shield her allies and obliterate her foes. This will come in handy for the new Hellfire Gala: Krakoa map, which features a grand celebration with dreamy botanical landscapes and beautiful fireworks.

In addition, the new season of Marvel Rivals will introduce the first adjustments to Team-Up Abilities, welcoming new Team-Ups while tweaking and removing some existing ones. The Marvel Rivals team is implementing weekly missions alongside the existing daily missions and challenges, which will help active players fully claim all rewards from the Battle Pass by the end of the season.

Starting from Season 3, Marvel Rivals seasons will shift to a two-month format, with a new hero debuting each month. Additionally, related systems will be adjusted accordingly, and more detailed insights will be shared before the launch of Season 3.

Other than the Hellfire Gala, Marvel Rivals has also announced a new partnership with Razer to integrate Razer Sensa HD Haptics and Razer Chroma RGB lighting technologies into this update. The collaboration introduces more than 600 realistic and complex haptic feedback that accurately mimics in-game distance and directionality to bring dynamic tactile sensations to life.

Players can now fully immerse themselves in the gameplay through Razer Sensa HD Haptics-supported devices such as the Razer Freyja gaming cushion, Razer Kraken V4 Pro gaming headset, and on PC with the Razer Wolverine V3 Pro wireless controller. Furthermore, over 300 Razer Chroma RGB effects featuring dynamic lighting that react to in-game actions in real-time will be made available, plunging players into a visually immersive experience.

Marvel Rivals Season 2: Hellfire Gala will begin this April 11 on PCPS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
