Menace Early Access Release Date Confirmed for February 2026
Tactical Sci-Fi From the Battle Brothers Creators
Hooded Horse and Overhype Studios, the team behind Battle Brothers, have announced the early access release date for their new sci-fi turn-based tactics game MENACE. The title will launch on February 5, 2026 for PC via Steam, GOG, the Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store, with day-one availability on PC Game Pass (Game Preview).
A free demo is already live on Steam, offering a procedurally generated operation and limited army-building options. While the demo focuses primarily on combat, the full release will expand with strategic layers and additional systems.
Leading the Fight in the Wayback System
Set in the lawless Wayback system, MENACE puts players in command of the TCRN Impetus, a strike force tasked with navigating a frontier plagued by pirates, warlords, corporations, and fractured governments. Players must assemble squads of marines, mercenaries, and even criminals, fielding everything from mechs and tanks to infantry units.
Resources are scarce, forcing commanders to scavenge or purchase equipment to keep squads battle-ready. Multi-stage operations require careful planning across planets, balancing manpower, supplies, and hardware to achieve objectives.
The Arrival of the MENACE
While the game revolves around restoring a measure of order in a fractured region, an existential threat looms. As players build their forces and carve out control, the titular MENACE emerges to disrupt whatever fragile stability they achieve.
Global Release and Localisation
The game will launch in English with localisation support for multiple languages, including German, French, Spanish, Polish, Turkish, Ukrainian, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Korean, and Japanese.

MENACE enters early access on February 5, 2026 across PC storefronts, including Steam, GOG, the Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store, with day-one access via PC Game Pass.
