Mini Tank Mayhem Returns with Bigger Explosions and Smarter Decks
Roguelike Deckbuilder Meets Tower Defense
Indonesian indie studio Algorocks is bringing back chaos to Steam Next Fest with an upgraded demo of Mini Tank Mayhem, its roguelike deckbuilder that fuses tactical card play with tower defence strategy. Launching on October 14, the new demo introduces fresh ultimate cards, redesigned enemies, sharper visuals, and deeper strategic mechanics — all while retaining the game’s addictive, genre-blending core.
Inspired by the likes of Slay the Spire and Bloons TD, Mini Tank Mayhem challenges players to balance deckbuilding finesse with split-second defensive strategy. The goal: to survive relentless alien invasions while fine-tuning an ever-evolving roster of tanks, modules, and abilities.
Lead designer Ricky Sebastian described the project as an experiment in controlled chaos. “We asked ourselves what would happen if we made deckbuilding and tower defence inseparable,” he said. “The result is a game where you’re not just defending a base — you’re conducting a symphony of strategic mayhem.”
A Smarter, Deadlier Demo

The updated demo expands on the original’s foundations, offering a more dynamic roguelike experience. Players will encounter randomised enemy waves, tougher bosses, and new events that reshape strategies with every run. Between battles, resources like crystals can be spent to upgrade cards, acquire powerful artefacts, and repair the base before the climactic confrontation with the Prime Invader.
Each tank now features refined stats, including range, damage type, and unique passive effects, encouraging experimentation and tactical synergy. Meanwhile, new visual effects and performance optimisations ensure the action runs smoother, even as alien hordes swarm the screen.
Available Now for Steam Next Fest
The enhanced Mini Tank Mayhem demo is live from October 14 as part of Steam Next Fest: October Edition. It’s available for free on Steam, giving players an early chance to command their armies and craft the ultimate defence deck before the game’s full release.
