The Final War Arrives as My Hero Academia: All’s Justice is Officially Revealed

Following the latest story arc and featuring a larger roster, Bandai Namco has officially announced My Hero Academia: All’s Justice.

When it comes to anime-based video game adaptations, Bandai Namco has long been a trusted name. While the quality of its releases can be inconsistent, the publisher often delivers experiences that cater well to the spirit and expectations of each franchise. After previously exploring My Hero Academia, one of today’s most popular anime and manga series, Bandai Namco is officially returning to the universe with a brand-new title: My Hero Academia: All’s Justice.

As promised in earlier teasers, the first official look at All’s Justice was revealed during the Bandai Namco Summer Showcase. The game retains its arena fighting roots, much like its predecessors. Players will once again be able to harness the unique powers, known as Quirks, of various characters in high-energy battles. However, the new entry introduces several significant updates and features designed to enhance the experience.

“I’m truly happy to finally be able to reveal this game to you all today!,” producer Aoba Miyazaki shared. “This title is the latest console game based on My Hero Academia, a fighting action game centred around the final battle, the climax of the original story. In this title, we’ve strived to deliver a fresh experience to both longtime fans of the My Hero Academia games and avid anime viewers alike, focusing on recreating the final battle with gameplay elements that let players immerse themselves further into the conflict and climax of the story.”

What is My Hero Academia: All’s Justice About?

The most exciting aspect of All’s Justice lies in its narrative scope. The game will adapt the climactic Final War arc from the original story, giving fans the chance to wield the latest and most powerful abilities of their favourite heroes and villains. Bandai Namco and developer Byking also confirmed that new, original content will be introduced, offering a fresh twist on the final showdown that differs from the anime version.

Another major highlight is the significantly expanded character roster. Every member of Class 1-A is confirmed to be playable, each with their Quirks faithfully represented. Players will also have the opportunity to control a variety of fearsome villains, adding more diversity and challenge to the combat.

The gameplay will revolve around a 3v3 tag-team battle system, allowing players to switch between characters mid-fight for strategic advantages. A brand-new mechanic called Rising will also be introduced. This mysterious system reportedly allows characters to reach their full potential during combat, though further details are being kept under wraps for now. Bandai Namco has promised to reveal more in upcoming updates.

My Hero Academia: All’s Justice does not yet have a confirmed release date, but it has been announced for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Fans of the series can expect an ambitious take on the beloved story with deeper gameplay and a broader selection of characters than ever before.
