People Of Note Confirms April 7 Launch
Annapurna Interactive and Iridium Studios have locked in an April 7 release date for People of Note, the upcoming turn-based RPG that blends tactical combat with musical performance. Alongside the announcement, the team also dropped a new gameplay trailer and made a Steam demo available immediately.
The game will launch on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, as well as Nintendo Switch 2.
A Pop Star’s Journey Across Note
As previously covered, People of Note centres on Cadence, a young pop singer determined to prove herself after being rejected from the prestigious Noteworthy Song Contest. Realising that a solo act may not be enough, Cadence sets out across the world of Note in search of bandmates who can elevate her performance.
Her journey takes her from the rock-fuelled city of Durandis to the EDM-heavy streets of Lumina, with each region offering new characters and musical influences. As her band grows, so too does the range of abilities available in battle.
Turn-Based Combat With Genre Mashups
Combat in People of Note revolves around turn-based encounters where musical synergy is key. Players can switch genres mid-fight, combine different styles, and create mashups that reflect the strengths of their party. The more eclectic the band, the wider the strategic possibilities.
Outside combat, the game also features dungeon exploration and puzzle-solving elements, ensuring its musical identity extends beyond battles. The latest trailer highlights both the colourful world design and the dynamic performance-driven mechanics that define its core loop.
With the demo now live on Steam, players can sample Cadence’s opening journey and get a taste of the upcoming adventure ahead of the full launch on April 7.
