SEGA is one of the busiest publishers in the gaming industry right now, with a lineup packed with highly anticipated titles, especially from its two flagship studios: Atlus and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio. During the recent wave of summer game showcases, both studios unveiled their upcoming headline projects: Persona 4 Revival and Stranger Than Heaven (formerly known as Project Century). However, for gamers eager to dive into either title, it seems the wait will be longer than expected.
While SEGA has yet to officially announce the release window for either game, particularly Persona 4 Revival, which only debuted with a teaser showing protagonist Yu Narukami, we now have a clearer picture of when to expect them thanks to corporate documents.
The information comes directly from SEGA SAMMY’s 2025 Management Meeting presentation, which explicitly mentioned both titles. According to the report, SEGA plans to launch Persona 4 Revival and Stranger Than Heaven in or after fiscal year 2027. In Japan, that fiscal year runs from April 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027. This means the earliest either game could be released is April 2026.
A Long Wait for Persona 4 Revival & Stranger Than Heaven

This confirmation narrows the timeline but still leaves many questions unanswered. SEGA has not provided any further specifics, such as release quarters or concrete dates.
Furthermore, there’s been no word on when fans can expect new updates in the form of screenshots or trailers, particularly for Persona 4 Revival, which has little to show following its brief teaser. The same can be said of Stranger Than Heaven, with its own core community that would be eager to see what the studio does outside of the Like a Dragon games.
For now, fans will need to remain patient as SEGA continues development behind the scenes. If nothing else, the confirmation of a post-April 2026 release at least gives the community a rough timeframe to look forward to.
