Prepare for Turn-based Tactics As Ea Reveals Star Wars Zero Company

There is always hype and anticipation when it comes to anything related to Star Wars. However, as time passes, not everything can be remembered, and nobody will blame you if you have already forgotten about a strategy game coming from EA. Well, things are finally moving on that front, as Star Wars Zero Company is now official.

Finally adorned with a name after its announcement back in 2022, Star Wars Zero Company is a single-player turn-based tactics game coming to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. With just key art dropped for now, those looking for gameplay will have to tune in to the first look at Star Wars Celebration Japan on April 19.

Respawn Entertainment, Lucasfilm Games, and Bit Reactor are currently handling development. Supported by the other two studios, the latter was also established in 2022, with experienced developers who have worked on games like XCOM, Civilization, Gears of War, and Elder Scrolls Online. That should translate nicely to what is needed of a turn-based tactics game, and helped by the Star Wars IP and lore.

Star Wars Zero Company is also one of the three games under the IP that Respawn Entertainment said it would be working on. The first of those was Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, a sequel to Jedi: Fallen Order. The other was an action first-person shooter, but that was canned due to layoffs at EA that took place in 2024. This newly revealed title is the third Star Wars game, and hopefully, it has more solid legs under it.

A new Star Wars game is always something to keep an eye on, and you can join in the fun when Star Wars Zero Company is showcased at its Star Wars Celebration Japan panel on April 19, 4:30 PM JST/ 3:30 PM SGT/ 12:30 AM PT/ 3:30 AM ET.
